Healthy Hair with Young Living 

We all want beautiful, healthy hair and you can easily achieve this with essential oils and a few other Young Living products.  

Supplements for Hair:


Your hair, skin and nails will thank you when you start to add these supplements to your diet:

Super B: B vitamins are vital for many function in our body, beautifying hair is one of them.  If you don't take a B supplement I highly suggest Young Living. B vitamins are essential to our health and well-being, and each B vitamin performs a unique and separate function in the body. Unfortunately, they must be replenished daily, as they are not stored in the body.

Super C: We all know the benefits of taking C vitamins and usually only take them when we feel something unpleasant coming on...Taking in enough of this vitamin can really make a difference in your overall appearance including your mane.  Young Living offers C vitamin in a chewable or tablet.

Essential Oils: 


Essential oils for your hair...I have dry hair and only use a shampoo when washing, for my conditioner I use a leave-in concoction I made: Dime sized amount of Shea Butter, 2 drops essential oil of choice, and 2 drops Jojoba oil.  My hair is not greasy or oily and softer than it ever has been in the past.  You may need to experiment with what will work for you, some people add essential oils to their conditioner or hair products and love the results. 


Oils for Normal Hair:


If you have normal hair you will want to use the following essential oils to help support overall health and luster of your locks:
Lavender
Rosemary
Clary Sage
Cedarwood
Thyme
If you are looking for a good carrier oil for Normal hair Jojoba, Almond and Borage are all good choices.


Oils for Dry Hair:


Dry hair looks dull, tangles easily and split at the ends. Here are some oils that will help keep a better balance of oil on our scalp:
Lavender
Rosemary
Sandalwood
Geranium
Good carrier oils to use are almond, sesame, jojoba, borage, cocoa butter or avocado.


Oils for Oily Hair:


Oily hair looks greasy and these oils are are best for oily hair.
Lavender (get the hint..Lavender for all things)
Lemon
Peppermint
Cypress
These carrier oils are beneficial for oily scalp sesame, jojoba and borage.


Flakes...


Essential oils may be very effective in minimizing occasional flakiness. 
Here are some oils to use
Tea Tree
Cedarwod
Lavender

Make a mask: Caster oil, carrier oil of choice and essential oil of choice:
1 table spoon caster oil
2 table spoons carrier oil of choice 
6 drops essential oil of choice
Mix all oils together and message onto scalp, leave on for 10-15 minutes and wash out.
